Arminda T. Garza

SAN BENITO, TX. – Arminda T. Garza, age 85, was called to Our Heavenly Father on Friday, July 17, 2015, and by his grace was given the opportunity to say goodbye and rejoice with her family and friends. Born in San Benito, Texas on June 7, 1930, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
Arminda received her Bachelor’s Degree from Pan American University in Kingsville, Texas, and later was employed with the San Benito C.I.S.D. as an educator for over thirty years. She touched so many lives, not only through her career, but also as a devoted member of her Catholic community at. St. Ignatius. Her caring and giving traits will always be remembered by all of those that knew her.
Her husband of fifty-four years, Ismael “Mayo” Garza; parents, Antonio Trevino and Guadalupe Cisneros Trevino; brothers Jose, Baltazar, and Pedro “Pete”, and Martin; and sisters Frances, Guadalupe, and Sara, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children Jose Luis (Irma), Lee Roy (Ageda), Juan Antonio, and Blanca Estela Reza (Rey); and grandchildren Jose Luis “Joey” Garza, Ryan Reynaldo, Rebecca Rae, Isaiah Lee, Daniel Lee, and Leena Lenae.
Visiting hours are on Monday, July 20, 2015, beginning at one o’clock in the afternoon and concluding at nine o’clock at night, with a recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o’clock in the evening within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel, 1400 West Highway 77, San Benito, Texas 78586.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at ten o’clock in the morning, in St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 24380 W. U.S. Highway 281, San Benito, Texas 78586.
Committal services will then follow at Las Rucias Cemetery in Los Indios, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jose Luis Garza, Juan Antonio Garza, Lee Roy Garza, Joey Garza, Isaiah Lee Garza, Ryan Reza, Daniel Lee Garza, and Reynaldo Reza.
