Armando Rodriguez Marez, 68, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
Armando was born on November 22, 1945 in Rio Hondo to Adela Rodriguez and Jose Lopez Marez. He was a longtime resident of Rio Hondo where he was a member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church.
Armando is survived by his wife, Linda Garza Marez; son, Armando Rolando Marez (Lori); grandsons, Bradley “J.R.” and Brandon Marez; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Raul Marez (Gloria); sister, Elena Juarez (Ramon†); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jose “Josesito” Marez; first wife, Emily Marez and sister, Zoila (Bruno†) Cortez.
Visitation hours will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service being prayed at 7:00 PM, Saturday, January 4, 2013 at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations may be made to St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Rio Hondo.
The family wishes to thank all of the staff, nurses and doctors at Valley Baptist Medical Center for all their care and special attention.
