Armando Hernandez, 58, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2023 in San Benito. He was born to Adan Hernandez and Maria Palmira Cantu Hernandez on June 13, 1965 in El Ranchito, Texas.
Armando attended San Benito High School. He was employed by Macs Insulation.
In his leisure time Armando enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family especially with his granddaughter.
He is preceded in death by his father, Adan Hernandez and his brothers, Pedro Hernandez and Pablo Hernandez.
Left to treasure his memory are his mother, Maria Palmira Cantu Hernandez; daughter, April Hernandez; granddaughter, Ariel Vega; and siblings, Ernesto Hernandez, Esther Martinez, Adan Hernandez, Palmira Guzman, Rey Hernandez, Maria Zapata, Gregorio Hernandez, Daniel Hernandez and Martha Cantu.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7 o’clock on Thursday evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Following the mass Armando will be laid to rest at Esparza Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Eleazar Muniz, Cain Abrego, Adan Hernandez, Jose Mirabel Garcia, Jose E. Rodriguez, Jose Ernesto Rodriguez, Ernesto Hernandez, Brandon Lee Buitron Jr., and Reynaldo Hernandez.
