Arlene M. Bauer, 84, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen.
Arlene was born January 22, 1926 in Canton, Ohio to Clarence and Flo M. Landis. She was the 1943 valedictorian of the graduating class of La Feria High School and then attended a business school in Harlingen. Arlene was employed with First National Bank and then with the Sears Service Center for 22 ½ years, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed reading and watching T.V.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony Bauer and son, Michael Anthony Bauer.
She is survived by her twin sons, Garry Bauer of Harlingen and Larry (Velma) Bauer of Richmond, Texas; and one grandson, Randall Bauer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held Friday, September 24, 2010, 10 a.m., at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Harlingen, 1106 Markowsky Harlingen, Texas 78550.
