Antonio “Tony” Quiroz, 52, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at Harlingen Medical Center.
Tony was born September 29, 1956 in Harlingen, TX to Ovidio A. and Francisca Quiroz. He was employed as a supervisor with the Baptist Children and Family Services and was member of Iglesia Lirio de los Valles in Harlingen.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Ovidio and Francisca Quiroz and his brothers, Ovidio Quiroz Jr., Salvador Quiroz, and Adam Quiroz.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Elva Quiroz; his daughters, Amanda Quiroz and Christina Q. Knighton and her husband, Britt R.; and siblings, Paul Quiroz, Roberto Quiroz, Carolina Zamora, Minerva Quiroz, Eva Ortega, Linda Macias and Rosa Redondo.
Visitation will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Prayer service at 7 p.m.
Visitation will be held at Iglesia Lirio de los Valles, 730 W. Curtis in Harlingen on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. with funeral services to begin at 10 a.m. with Pastor Jose Luis Fernandez officiating. Burial will follow at Ashland Memorial Park in Harlingen.
