Antonio Cantu

Antonio “Tony” Cantu, 55, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024, in Harlingen, Texas. He was born September 9, 1969, in Brownsville, Texas to Armando and Maria Luisa Cantu.

He was preceded in death by his father, Armando Cantu and his brother, Hector Cantu.

Left to treasure Tony’s memory is his mother, Maria Luisa Cantu; his life partner, Rolando “Rolli” Martinez, and his siblings, Armando Cantu, Jr. (Edith), Alma Martinez (Oscar), Felipe Cantu (Socorro), Eduardo Cantu (Eva), Graciela Cantu Fox (Tim Driver) and Erica Coleman (Gary).

The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7 o’clock Friday evening. A funeral liturgy will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, followed by interment at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers are Andres Cantu, Eduardo Cantu Jr., Mextli Martinez, Hector Cantu Jr., Jesus Cantu, Felipe Cantu Jr., and Cristian Cantu.
