Antonia Perez

Antonia Perez, aged 89, peacefully passed on February 22, 2025. She was born on June 13, 1935, in Sebastian, Texas to the late Alejandro and Felipa H. Perez.

She retired from Rio Grande State Mental Hospital where she was employed for thirty-five years. She was a great daughter, sister, aunt, and a devout Catholic parishioner. She enjoyed share her gifts and talents as a volunteer at St. Theresa Catholic Church of San Benito.

Antonia is preceded in death by parents and her siblings, Alejandro Perez, Jr., Roberto Alejandro Perez, and Patricia Perez.

Left to treasure Antonia’s memory are her three sisters, Francisca Perez, Mary Inez Perez, and Irma Perez Starling.

The Perez family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Following the Mass, Antonia will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Joseph Pardo, Michael Pardo, Teliza Treviño, Julean Treviño, Melanie Treviño, and Roberto Alejandro Perez, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Mary Inez Perez, Francisca Pardo, Irma Sterling, Jessica Marie Pardo, and Julias Michel Pardo.
