Antoinette Harkrider, 96, went to be with Our Lord on Monday, August 3, 2009.
She was born in Del Rio, Texas, on Holy Thursday, March 20, 1913 to Anna Griner and Dan Henry Brite.
She was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Herbert Moss, Jr. in 1968; a grandson Scott Dale Adair in 1970; foster sister, Ann Mary Jones in 1969; her brother Griner Brite in 1972; her sister, Marie Endress in 2003, and her husband of 23 years, Robert (Bob) E. Harkrider.
Surviving are her daughter, Diana Walker (Jim) of Harlingen; her son, Herbert Moss III of Laguna Vista; grandchildren, Tracy and Yvette Adair of Boerne, Texas, Dan Adair of Houston, Texas, Antoinette Simon (Steve) of Cypress, Texas and Herb Moss of San Antonio, Texas; ten great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.  In addition she leave four loving stepchildren and their spouses, Tim (Abbey) Harkrider, Gayle (Peyton) Morgan of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Doug (Debra) Harkrider of Gainsville, Georgia and Robert (Sharon) Harkrider of Augusta, Georgia; six step-grandchildren, Mandi (Rob) Keener, Christi (Robby) Johnson, Dana (Jason) Tirado, Ryan (Mark) Butcher, and Ashley and Morgan Harkrider; and three step-great grandchildren.
A memorial service officiated by Chaplain David Mann will be held on Saturday, August 8, at 3:00 p.m., in the Texas Room at Golden Palms.
