Annie V. Williams, 79, passed away February 08, 2016 at her residence.
Annie was born October 12, 1936 in Raymondville, Texas to W.C. and Leona Bingham. She was salutatorian of her graduating class in Lyford, Texas and a DAR recipient. She attended Mary Hardin Baylor University until she met the love of her life, James L. Williams. They were married for 60 years.
She was employed as a secretary for a motor company in Raymondville while attending high school. Annie was a clerk for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC. Annie also worked briefly as a Census gatherer and teacher aide.
She enjoyed memberships in both Baptist and First Christian Churches during her lifetime.  Annie loved to cook, sew, crochet, listen to music and read.  She was a strong believer in Jesus Christ and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Annie is survived by her devoted husband, James L. Williams; her daughters, Vivian (Joe) Ballenger, Karen (Edward) Guetzow and Sharen (Frank) Williams. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Sarah (A.J.) Salazar, James (Mari) Williams, Rachel (Kyle) Jud, Sam Ballenger, Joshua Ballenger, Hannah Ballenger; and one great granddaughter, Evie Jud. Additionally, Annie is survived by two brothers, Troy Bingham and Jimmy Ray (Claudia) Bingham, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, W.C. Bingham; her mother, Leona Bingham; brothers, Calvin and Roy Bingham; and sister, Shirlie Bingham Hammond.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with the family present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10:00 am, at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Coppins officiating. Private burial will be held.
The family wants to offer heartfelt thanks to Paula Landaverde de Gonzalez who worked for Annie for eight years and who she loved as a daughter. The family also gives much thanks to numerous loving caregivers, friends and Gentiva Hospice.
