Angie Rodriguez

Angelita “Angie” Rodriguez, 94, of San Benito, Texas passed away April 23, 2019.

Angie was born December 9, 1924 in San Benito, Texas to Gregorio Juarez and Juana Rodriguez Juarez.  She was an LVN for 40 years and was a member of St. Benedicts Catholic Church.   Angie enjoyed dancing, singing and being with her great grandchildren and family.

She is survived by her sons Rolando “Ronnie” Rodriguez, Rogelio “Roy” Rodriguez (Nora Trevino) and Mark Anthony Rodriguez (Kim Silva); daughters Graciela “Gracie” Rodriguez and Jenyfer Lyn Rodriguez; sisters Rosa Sanchez, Dora Martin and Corina Juarez; niece Gloria Gonzales, who was like a daughter; grandchildren Anthony and Abigal; and great grandchildren Jayson Rodriguez, Sean Rodriguez, Ashton Rodriguez and Olivia Rodriguez.

Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Gregorio and Juana Juarez; her loving husband J. Salvador Rodriguez; son Rene Rodriguez; granddaughters Angela Nicole Rodriguez and Alexa Blue Rodriguez; sisters Isabel Saldana, Anita Salazar, Aurora Hines and Guadalupe Garza; and brothers Benito Juarez and Manuel Juarez.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Sunday, April 28th at San Benito Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, April 29th at St. Benedicts Catholic Church.  Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honor to serve as pallbearers will be Ben Juarez, Carlos Ramirez, Joe Gonzales, Joe Garza Jr., Jaime Rodriguez, and Marcos Rodriguez.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Alfredo Montalvo, Jayson Rodriguez, Sean Rodriguez and Ashton Rodriguez.

We wish to thank the E.R. Staff who cared for our mother in her final hours at Harlingen Medical Center, RNs Alicia and Enrique and Respiratory Tech Gabby.  Also the staff at Atrium who cared for Mom.  Thank you.
