Angelita L. Lozano, 92, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen.
Angelita was born January 12, 1918 in Harlingen, Texas to Manuel Longoria and Guadalupe Garza Longoria. She was self-employed as a beautician from 1935 to 1985. Angelita was member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Harlingen and enjoyed sewing, gardening, and going hunting with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert C. Lozano; her daughter, Olympia Y. Lozano; brothers, Arturo Longoria and Francisco Longoria and sister, Aurora Gomez.
Angelita is survived by her sons, Robert C. (Anna) Lozano and Richard Lozano both of Harlingen, TX; her grandchildren, Julie A. Lozano, Yvonne M. Lozano, and Katherine A. Lozano; her siblings, Sofia Lozano, Berta (Martin) Rodriguez and Manuel (Cecilia) Longoria. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law, Olga Lozano, Hazel Lozano, Emma Longoria; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 20, 2010 from12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
The funeral procession will depart Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 for 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with Mosgr. Pedro Briseno as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria.
Pallbearers will be Robert C. Lozano, Richard Lozano, David Longoria, Robert Lopez, Joel Castillo and Mario Rodriguez.
