San Benito, TX – Amelia Agado Gonzales, 79, of San Benito, TX went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 14, 2013. She was a loyal parishioner of Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church; she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren during the summertime; in her spare time she enjoyed working on ceramics, word searches, puzzles and solitaire.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Juan and Amalia Agado; and 10 siblings.
Amelia is survived by her husband of 53 years, Felipe B. Gonzales; her children, Nancy G. Garcia and David A. (Maria) Gonzales; her grandchildren, David Eric Garcia, Phillip D. Gonzales, and Jennifer M. Gonzales; her brother, Manuel (Lupita) Agado, Sr.; and a sister, Manuela Agado Garcia; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M with the Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The funeral precession will depart San Benito Funeral Home on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 9:30 A.M. for a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Manuel Agado, Jr., Robert Agado, Frank Gonzalez, Manuel Agado III, Carlos Agado, Sr., and Joe Mejia; honorary pallbearer will be Mary Lou Fernandez.
