Harlingen:
Amanda Jennings Lairsen, 24, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at her residence in Harlingen.
Amanda was born on February 14, 1989 in Dallas, Texas to Beth Probasco Carter and John Lairsen. She was graduated from Harlingen High School South and worked at AOC in Harlingen for several years.
Amanda was such a blessing from God. There Harlingenwasn’t a day that she didn’t touch someone’s life. She was a fighter who defied all odds and inspired so many people. There was no question the love she had for her family and the special bond she had with her brother. With her uncanny wit she knew how to put a smile on everyone’s face. She was a world class shopper and cherished her dog Gus.
Amanda is survived by her mother, Beth Carter and her husband, Andy; father, John Larisen, Sr.; brother, John Lairsen and Courtney Reid; grandparents, Rayma Probasco and Remore Lairsen; aunts and uncles, Joe Probasco, Lori Richardson, Mike Lairsen, Kim Sullivan, Karen and Lann Jones; cousins, Michael Alston, Brandon Lairsen, Wade Lairsen, Lauren Hollon, Weston Jones, Andrea Jones, Michelle Jones, Savahna Jones, Joseph Richardson, Gloria Lairsen, Monica Clancey and Shawn Clancey.
Funeral services will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, 3:00 PM, Monday, December 23, 2013 with the Pastor Ed Gilpan officiating. The services will conclude at the funeral home and burial will be private.
Visitation hours will be held on Monday, from 1:00 PM till service time at the funeral home.
