ARROYO CITY, TX. – Alvaro Turner Trevino, age 69, of Arroyo City, Texas, entered the kingdom of God on Friday, November 28, 2014 in Durant, Oklahoma surrounded by loved ones.
Alvaro was born to Oscar and Maria de Jesus (Turner) Trevino. He married Maria Elena Corona on November 28, 1970; spending exactly 44 years of marriage together.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Gracie Jaramillo and Viola Juarez; and brother, Oscar.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Monica (Greg) Schoenemann and Teri Funk; son, Bobby Trevino; beloved grandchildren Justin and Megan Schoenemann, and Jordan, Madeline, and Tres Funk; and sisters, Carol (Abe) Tapia and Amanda (+Abel) Alaniz. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., with a holy rosary to be recited at seven o’clock in the evening within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at St. Helen Catholic Church, Rio Hondo. The time is currently pending, and will be announced Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in his name be made out to the American Heart Association.
