Alicia Arenas de Padilla

Alicia Arenas Padilla went home to be with her Savior on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in Candido Aguilar, Tamaulipas, México.  A longtime resident of San Benito, Alicia was born on February 6, 1945 in Montemorelos, Nuevo León, México and was the daughter of the late José Modesto Arenas and the late María Elena Garcia de Arenas.

Alicia was of the Christian faith and was a member of Templo El Salvador Asambleas de Dios in San Benito, Texas.

Preceding her in death was her daughter, Martha Padilla; parents, Jose M. and Maria Elena Garcia Arenas; brother, Isidro Arenas.

Alicia is survived by her husband, Raymundo Padilla; children, Martin (Josefina) Padilla, Raymundo (Nora) Padilla, Martha (Carlos) Padilla, Hermeregilda (Abel) Abundis, Concepción (Dimas) De León, Esmeralda (Antonio) Barrientos, Ramón (María Elena) Padilla, Pearl (Jesse†) Sánchez, María Alicia Padilla, Eva (Enrique) Cordova, Emma (Jose) Moreno, Manuel Padilla, Tomas (Elizabeth) Padilla, Samuel Padilla; 34 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.  Also left to treasure Alicia’s memory are her sisters, Guadalupe (Felipe) Ramírez, San Juana (Juvencio) Téllez, María Elena (Juan†) Lucio, and sister-in-law, Francisca Robles.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at San Benito Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Mont Meta Memorial Park on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 12:00 PM.

Samuel Padilla, Tomas Padilla, Manuel Padilla, Raymundo Padilla, Arnoldo Sauceda, Jr., and Martin Padilla are honored to serve as pallbearers.
