Agripina Gonzalez

Agripina Gonzalez, 85, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024, in Harlingen, Texas. She was born June 23, 1939, in San Nicolas Tolentino, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Roque Hernandez and Petra Torres Hernandez.

A devoted member of her community, Agripina served as a Catechist at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos for many years. She had a passion for sewing, reading her Bible, and tending to her garden, which brought her great joy.

Agripina is preceded in death by her parents, Roque and Petra Hernandez, her beloved husband, Aristeo Gonzales, and her daughter, Martha Elena Gonzalez.

 She is remembered fondly by her children: Lourdes Camero (Leopoldo), Guadalupe Aguirre (Rodolfo), Jessica Gonzalez (Hugo), and Christobal Gonzales (Rose). Agripina's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Sammantha, Alondra, Galilea, Tianah, Brisa, Micol, Jessica, Alan, and Eli, as well as her great-grandson, RG III. She also leaves behind her faithful companion of 11 years, her cat "Solita."

The family expresses their gratitude to Amable Hospice Care and Ms. Eneida Andersen for their loving care during Agripina's final days.

The Gonzalez family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 6 o’clock Wednesday evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos. Interment will follow at Los Cuates Cemetery in Los Fresnos.

Honored to serve as pallbearer are Christobal, Eli, Raul, Polo, Javier, Hugo, Adalberto, and Jose.
