Adriana (Ramírez) Hernandez

Adriana R. Hernandez, of San Benito, Texas, affectionately known as “Diana,” passed away on March 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of service and love for her family.

Diana dedicated her life to her family, particularly her three cherished children: Jesus “Jesse” Hernandez III (Marisela †), Yvette Cortez (David), and Annette Sankowski (John). She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Armando Jr. (Glad), Omar (Linda), Rolando (Maggie), and Arnold; and her beloved husband of 47 years, Jesus D. Hernandez, Jr.

For several decades, Diana and Jesus operated the flower shop, Rosary Floral & Nursery, their family business, with love and dedication. Diana was employed by Texas Visiting Nurse Service, having retired after 30 years of dedicated service in 2011.

Diana is survived by her sisters Graciela Casas (Juan †) Linda Ramirez, and sisters-in-law, Gloria A. Hernández, and Yolanda Hernández, in addition to many nieces and nephews. Diana has seven grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory: Diana (Ricky), Joshua (Mariel), Isabella, Tristan, Jonathan, Chloe, and Samantha, as well as three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Sophia, and Tessa.

Diana loved her family unconditionally and loved nothing more than to host family and friends for gatherings at her home, surrounded by love and laughter. We will miss her greatly.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Joseph Becerra, Robert Becerra, David Cortez, Joshua Hernandez, Alex Rios, Ricky Sanchez, and John Sankowski.

The Hernandez family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7 o’clock Monday evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Following the Mass, Adriana will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
