Harlingen:
Adrian Carl Lunday, age 92, passed away on January 7, 2015 at Sunshine Haven, in Olimito, Texas.
Adrian was born in Marlin, Texas on December 18, 1922 to A. Carl Lunday and Bertha Marie Propst Lunday.
He attended public schools in Waco, Texas. He earned a B.A. Degree at Baylor University and a M.S. degree at California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, California. He graduated with a triple major in Mathematics, Science and Education.
He served in the U.S. Air Corps during World War II.
Adrian taught school at La Vega I.S.D. and Waco I.S.D. before moving to the Valley in 1966. In the Valley he taught at McAllen, Pan American University, Texas Southwest and La Feria. He retired in 1988 after 35 years of teaching.
After retirement he traveled extensively. His favorite spot was London, England.
Adrian was the only child of his parents who preceded him in death. He is survived by loving friends L. Rocha and Pam Riepen.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 10 AM at Wesley United Methodist Church.
