Abelardo N. Aguirre 80, passed away on November 10 2023 in Harlingen, Texas. Abelardo was born on February 15, 1943 in El Naranjo, Texas to Eluterio Aguirre and Carlota Aguirre.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Audelia Aguirre and Henunia Mosquea; his brothers, Ernesto Aguirre and Gilberto Aguirre; and his parents.
Abelardo is survived by his wife, Ester Aguirre; his sons, Aaron (Vanessa) Aguirre and Abelardo Aguirre; his grandkids, Kaylie Rae Aguirre, Kalista Rayan Aguirre, Karolyn Reghan Aguirre, Kenzlec Rian Aguirre; his brother, Antonio Aguirre; and his sister, Estela Echartea.
He was a member of San Pedro Catholic Church and retired from Ballenger Construction after 30 years of service.
The Aguirre Family would like to thank everyone for their support in this time of need.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7 o'clock Tuesday evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at San Pedro Catholic Church in Brownsville. Following the Mass, Abelardo will be laid to rest at Garcia Cemetery in El Ranchito.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Roy Saldana, Marcelino Ibarra Jr, Raul Garza III, Marcelino Ibarra III, Jaime Ibarra, Mario Martinez, David Montelongo, and Juan Vela Jr. Eric David Alaniz will serve as honorary pallbearer.
