Our beloved son Aaron Joseph Cruz, 21, went to be with the lord on Friday August 20, 2010, due to a tragic auto mobile accident.
Aaron was born on November 7, 1988. His loving parents are Diane & Arnold Sanchez and Guillermo & Abby Cruz III, cherished brother of Anakin J. Cruz, Matthew Samuel and Arnold (Cindy) Sanchez Jr., his inseparable cousin Patrick Moran and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Also his beloved friend Belinda Aguilar and family.
For the last five and a half months of his life he was given the honor of being a father to Aislyn Christine Cruz a blessing bestowed on him by Abigail Betancourt. He is also survived by his grandparents Ms. Maria L. Moran (Ricardo Valencia), M. &Mrs. Willie Cruz, Jr., Mr & Mrs. Manuel Sanchez, Sr., Ms. Dora Lee Cruz and his God Parents Juan and Rosa Vela.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Ignacio Moran, uncle’s Pedro Eugene Cruz, Rene L. Ramirez and his cousin Michael T. Sanchez.
He loved sports at a very young age. He played with the San Benito Grey Pups, Coakley Cougars, and Harlingen High South Hawks Football Team, graduate of Harlingen High School South Class 2007. Michael Jordan was his basketball idol. His father Arnold had the pleasure of fulfilling this dream by taking Aaron to a Chicago Bulls basketball game.
Aaron attended church at St. Theresa Catholic Church where he was a member of the youth group, usher at the 10:00 A.M mass and attended CCD classes till the 12th grade.
Aaron always had the desire to work at a young age. He worked at Cinemark 10 and Stripes while attending high school. He was currently working at Ace Cash Express, where he had a following of customers that only went by when he was working. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 23, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m on Monday August 23, 2010 with the holy rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the San Benito Funeral Home with Father Samuel Arizpe as celebrant.
